Hourly Position: Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

We are in the process of creating a Web-based drug design and discovery pipeline. This facility will enable users Worldwide to screen millions of molecules against drug targets from various diseases ranging from cancer to diabetes. I am looking for graduate or undergraduate students with programming experience in MySQL, PHP, and Python to work on this effort. Motivated individuals with experience in other languages are encouraged to apply as there is the potential for limited initial training. Some background in chemistry, physics or engineering is preferable but not necessary. Computer scientist/informatics students are encouraged to apply. The position will be on an hourly basis for the first few months, with the potential for more permanent arrangements. The hourly rate will be commensurate with experience. If you are interested, please send a résumé or CV to Dr. Samy Meroueh from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at smeroueh@iupui.edu or contact me directly by phone at 317-274-8315.
