Welcome to the laboratory of Sean Mooney in the Department of Molecular Genetics at the Indiana University School of Medicine. We are an associate member of the Indiana University Cancer Center, and we are located in the Center for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics at IUPUI.
The laboratory is focused on research and training in bioinformatics and computational biology. Specifically, our research interests aim to characterize and predict the effects of genetic variation. We enthusiastically provide research collaborations and related computational services.
Our lab develops MutDB and, with Stanford University, the Structure-Based Local Environment Search Tool (S-BLEST) and, with the Scientific Data Analysis Lab, the Lifescience Web services. We collaborate with the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at Indiana University, the National Gene Vector Laboratories, and Wells Center for Pediatric Research.
This lab greatly acknowledges its support by funds from the Indiana Genomics Initiative, the Pervasive Technology Labs and the Showalter Trust. The Indiana Genomics Initiative (INGEN) of Indiana University is supported in part by Lilly Endowment Inc.
