| Post Doc and Student Positions - Lang Li Lab |
Three post-doc fellow positions are available through Dr. Lang Li’s lab in the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Position one focuses on pharmacogenomics. Research includes informatics, computational, and statistical methodology development in the genome-wide association and e-QTL studies in the clinical cancer research. The primary goal is to develop predictive signatures for drug exposure and response. The secondary goal is to identify novel SNPs or genes, which regulates the drug pharmacokinetics.
Position two focuses on text mining among pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics/ pharmacogenetics (PK/PD/PG) literatures. Research includes entity recognition and information extraction methodology development for public domain PK/PD/PG parameters and relationships. These relationships will be validated in large electronic medical record data base and its associated biobank. The primary goal is for literature based discovery. The secondary goal is to identify new drug mechanisms with significant clinical implication.
Position three focuses on molecular network constructions for cancer cells. Research includes dynamic and static network constructions based on time profile gene expression data, GWAS SNP data, TF ChIP-seq data, DNA methylation data, and histone modification data in cancer cells. The primary goal is to identify estrogen signaling pathways. The secondary goal is to understand network topology and its critical components.
Position one and three requires Ph.D. degree in genetics, bioinformatics, biostatistics/statistics, computer science, or other related areas. Programming skills in R and C are required. Position two requires Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, computer science, and other related areas. Java and Pearl programming skills are required.
Salary and benefits will be highly competitive. Interesting candidate can send your CVs and 3 reference letters to Dr. Lang Li directly, lali@iupui.edu.
